Why Team Members of the Online Peer Mediation Platform Believe in Online Face-to-Face Communication

One goal of the Online Peer Mediation Platform (OPMP), a project funded by the JAMS Foundation, is to show middle and high schools across the USA how their students can practice their peer mediation skills online by participating in simulations under the supervision of their peer mediation trainer or coordinator.

The 7 OPMP team members, for example, live in different states. Therefore, at the beginning of their project, they decided that, instead of communicating and making decisions by email, they would simply meet twice a month via Zoom, the same video conferencing software they recommend for online peer mediation simulations.
