Bias Awareness Webinar

BIAS AWARENESS WEBINAR

April 11, 2018
6 PM EST

Co-hosted by Priscilla Prutzman, Co-founder and Executive Director of Creative Response to Conflict.  In this webinar, Pris will discuss how CRC started doing bias awareness work with schools and community organizations. She will explain the CRC model which starts out with group building and then moves to looking at the types of biases from personal, cultural and institutional perspectives. Participants then look at the bias they have experienced and move toward practicing ways of interrupting bias. Power and non power groups are explored along with implicit and explicit bias. The model concludes with looking at ways we can have safer and more welcoming schools and communities.
