Peer Mediation Standards Webinar Video Recording and Free Materials

Priscilla Prutzman, Co founder and Executive Director, of Creative Response to Conflict (CRC, formerly Children's Creative Response to Conflict) presented an informative webinar on the background of the standards documents for Peer Mediation. Recommended Standards for School based Peer Mediation Programs was first published in 1996 by the National Association of Mediation in Education (NAME). NAME merged into the current Association of Conflict Resolution (ACR) which revised the document that is available on the ACR website. Priscilla was on the committees for both documents and will discuss how they came about and how they continue to be used in schools today. The Peer Mediation Standards were created in 1996 by the Association for Conflict Resolution and revised in 2007.  The standards are guiding principles for establishing, coordinating, and evaluating a peer mediation program in schools.
